.COM Price Increase Takes Effect September 1, 2024
The price for .COM domains is increasing on September 1, 2024. Keep reading for the full details and steps to lock in at the current, lower price.
Verisign, the registry for .COM is increasing the price for .COM domains for the third year in a row. The September 1, 2024, price increase applies to new domain registrations, renewals, and transfers for all registrars, Hover included.
Under their current contract with ICANN, Verisign can also raise their prices each year from 2026 to 2029, and it’s expected that they will.
If you plan to keep your domain for years to come, you can save money by renewing your .COM for multiple years at the current price.
Renewing your domain takes two minutes. You’ll want to:
- Head to our renewals page and type in the domain you wish to renew
- Use the + icon to add multiple years to your renewal order
- Head to “Secure Checkout”
